MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been affected by his international popularity. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song for the year 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina the next year. Then in 2021 he sang a duet on TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo is from an musical family, as both his parents and brother also play music. In interviews, he referred to the importance of music as a requirement. He began playing guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as when he was a child. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with a Cuban singer, he altered his the direction of his career.
