Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born to a music-loving family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing at an early age together with her mom. The formal training in singing at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is a frequent soloist at events, private parties and other occasions singing traditional Latin American Music. She is involved with many local initiatives in both teaching and performer, because of her passion for art and music. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations, for keeping this music vibrant.
